@chickenbarspinsquad

Im not sure if this is a similar account like @rodeopeanut or @flatlandrodeopeanut but I am so down for chicken barspins or aka as my homie Bo calls them Japanese barspin. It took me a while to get them fakie, but with the help of owner and operator of 430 visit to the bay a few years back, he blessed me with the ninja skills, and been tossing them since...scratch that, I got these new school wide bars and scared to toss them. Either way I pretty sure it was a guy riding flat who spun some raditude after his pogo run. Anyway the homie Fat Joe made it and a few other flatland guys, I think Chad is in the mix and French guy Mathias, go check out the account and see if you can make #squad goals.

10 Questions - Jody Temple

Hmm how should I start this one.  Jody Temple aka Fat Joe aka Joe Ski Love aka Q-Change is probably no...he is the hardest of hardcore riders left in the states.  I meet JT around 2000, there was a BS contest in ATL and a big jam sesh in Athens that weekend.  Let me say that weekend was like crazy, everybody was killing it, but it was JT who I was watching, I was so blown away by his switches.  By 02 I finally made my move to Athens Ga, by that time JT was killing it.  I often speak of him as my white twin brother from another mother, his born day is one day after mine, both of our mothers are school teachers, and our love for Jamesons, and large breast.
I  don't want to bore you with my intimate tales of one of my homies, cuz I might start tearing, miss that dude.  So lets get this ish started.
~Darin W

10 question Jody Temple

1. Name, age, location?
Joseph Martin Temple Jr, Jan 14 1975 Athens Ga

2. How many people have you served on the chessboard?
I have slain and been slain.  I beat a master once and an expert twice in a row once, but that dude damn made sure that didnt happen again.

3. When out on the town, what would be your choice of fine spirit of the evening?
Maybe a glass of Tempranillo, Primotivo or Grenache. Otherwise a Bass followed by PBR and Jameson.

4. Do you truly believe that the Predators can defeat the Alien race?
I believe the Predators could straight slap jack the xenomorphs Philly style, but then what would they do for fun?

5. What are your most fondest memory riding your Bmx?
There are so many, it seems like Athens has  had a golden age for 13 years now.  Nathan Penonzek living here was a damn fine time, he brought so many top dudes here like Martti, Nathan, Simon and Viki that I would have never otherwise gotten to see shred the Tate center (RIP).

6. What is the name of your children's book? When will you drop your children's book?
No Lap for Zoe is a childrens book I've never gotten around to writing, it's about my mom's 1st cat not being able to find a lap and learning something about life and longing and everything inbetween.

7. How many halfpackers combination are in your trickanary?
Not enough, but I'm more into hang 5's and ankledeaths at the 'mo.  i need to get back into doing fakie 1/2 packers.

8. Describe a day in the life of Jody Temple?
Sleep in as late as possible, have some fruit and caffeine for  breakfast.  Check out my favorite internets sites for music, BMX and skating.  Go to work if i'm working, if not lunch at Big City     Bread or Taste of India.  Shred the lot for 3 hours, chill, eat then party the night away.  Repeat.

9. If you were a hip hop artist, what would your name be?
My rap group is Crispy-2-Stylz and I'm Q-Change.

10. ShoutOuts?
OneLove crew, Duke, Daner and Andrew W,  Tunney, Chad Johnston, Aaron Behnke, Effraim for the daily updates and support, Coop dawg, Scott Nagy, Tod Miller, Prasheel, Peter and Trevor in  Saskatoon and all the North American riders I have met over the last 3 years.  I seriously respect all you guys and there's a lotta love and positive vibes for everyone that busts out the way they want and dont give a fuck.  There's been a lot more positivity and a lot less trolling/shit talking and that is  a good thing.

4/20Jam Edit

Well we could not ask for a better day.  The 4/20Jam went down last weekend.  Plenty of sun and fun.  Its a good thing those SoCal dudes didnt show up.  All the prizes were split up to everyone who came out.  We call that up here CaliLove.  Best trick went to OSG, second place went to Sparker.  I love NorCal, for a couple of reasons. One, Everybody loves to get together for beers, bikes, and BBQ.  Two It's NorCal, and if you never been up here then you will never know.
Well here's the edit.  Enjoy!

Too Small Bikes 3 Premier -March8th- NorCal

Yep you see it, we are apart of a world wide premier.  I contacted Jussi and Julius to see if we can hold our own premier.  Since it's on a Friday, anyone who comes out should stay and ride on Saturday.  If no one in the Bay can make it on Friday, then come out on Saturday to ride, and we will show it again.
We will be showing the movie premier at Mike's crib up here in Santa Rosa.  If you have any questions, hit me up on FB or call me.
Be warned though, Vegas Mike is firing up the BBQ, and his BBQ technique is unstoppable!
See you March 8th!

Czarface

I can't even tell you how long I've been waiting for this.  This new super group isn't new to the game.  Inspectah Deck, Esoteric and 7L joins together to form Czarface.  While most will scratch their heads at the 90's references, some will appreciate flow like this.  Go out and cop this shit.  Here's the first single off the album "Air'em Out"

Peace.

10 Questions - Dane Beardsley

boost in the garden
I sat down with Dane Beardsley last weekend at OneLoveJam2013 and told him I got 10 questions for him.  Just check out what's good with Dane on the fine art of bartending and stock tips.

1. Name, age, location, and sponsor?

Dane, 31, Georgia, DK Bicycles, The Freestyle  Connection, and SameThingDaily

2. Trails, Street or Park?

     I'm from the streets.

3.  Favorite destination?

     Anywhere.

4. Hot sauce on everything?

    Not on my ice cream.

5. Kale or spinach?

     Spinach

6.  What company should I buy stocks in?

Right now I'm selling, but you might want to look into SLV.  Look for a high dividend (yield %)     stock if your looking to buy right now cause the market is kind of high.  Don't expect instant profits and try and avoid owning a stock for less then one year.

7. What vegetable grows the best in your garden?

Greens such as kale and lettuces grow good in the spring. Tomatoes grow ok in the summer.

8. How do you make a margarita?

Fill a short glass with ice then add a 3 count of tequila and a 2 count of triple sec. Next squeeze some fresh lime juice and add simple syrup until the glass is full. Mix everything together or shake if possible. Or go to a Mexican restaurant.

9. You and the Duke are doing shows where?

Maybe the Alaskan bush in February, but no official word yet.  Hope it works out.

X to X
10.  Shoutouts?

Julie Denton, DK Bicycles, folks, Kyle Kelsey, The Georgia State Flatland Champion Jody Temple, Zack Yankush, Trevor Gay, Jared Sutton, Jon Dowker, Russell Summerville, Cale Christy, The Globe, One Love BMX, NorCal riders, Pat Kempany, and Ted Vanorman.

10 Questions - James White

How can I start this interview, well this guy has been in the UK scene for a very long time.  His riding blew my mind in Groundworks, he rolled his way into our minds in the classic inTRIKat Background. And now James White is still at it along with his new sponsor S&M Bikes.  I sent a smoke signals across the pond and this is what i got back.  As they say over there....Cheers!

1. Name, Age, Location, Sponsors?

James White, 24 years old (or that could be the other way round ain't good with numbers), South East London,  S&M Bikes(4Down Distribution)

2. When did you meet Phil D?

First met Phil in 1991 I think.  He was doing pinky squeaks, I was blown away!

3. Name the last album you had on the 1's n 2's?

Ice T "Power"....stone cold classic!!  I go through many music fazes but always come back to hip hop of my youth.  Fresh and raw like me!!

It's not a twin, it's the same person.  When Sam is not riding he's 'Susan Boyle'....he doesn't deny it!

8. How big is the UK scene?

Errr...I'd say small but I sense it's growing.  I plan on putting on a few UK events this year so were see.

9. When is it too wet to ride?

Never....you gotta do what you gotta do!

10. Shoutouts?

Thanks

USA Road Trip by Dane Beardsley

I was kinda shock to see this, when Dane was in town a few months back he got some clips of the crew, now in my head I was thinking this footage probably wouldn't see the light of day for at least another few months.  I guess I was wrong, this is awesome!  I am really stoked on seeing trail legend Adam Baker, and also Ted Van Orman, and Cale murder the trails.
More riders should get away from there monitors, and travel more, and not just to contest or jams, just get out and travel to see the other scenes, states, countries, people and culture.  Every BMX scene has  these elements.  Try it out, you may like what you see.
