Album Review - Random Axe

Man sometimes I just miss album releases.  I guess being out here and the only HipHop head in the crew, just sometimes albums sneak past me.  This latest review is from the supergroup Random Axe, now lets not get supergroups mixed up with crews, Wu-Tang Clan is a crew, Native Tongue is a supergroup.  Anyway Random Axe is compose of Sean Price(Ruck of Helter Skelter), Guilty Simpson(Detroit native), and producer/emcee Black Milk.  Talk of this super group was announced back in '08.  Good things come to those who wait.

All I can say is if you're a fan of Sean P. and Guilty Simpson, then you won't be disappointed.  Sean P. and Guilty delivery flow is always on point, hard rhymes with a dark humor twist.  Black Milk continues to bring the gritty beats, and the album is a nice 40 min of listening pleasure.

With the recent MTV post of there Top 10 emcee I begin to wonder if this will be the last of supergroups.  I hope to see more supergroups in the future, cause Hip Hop is in a sad state right now.

R.I.P Big L

Today marks the death of one of the greatest emcees to ever live, Lamont Coleman aka Big L.  A member of the D.I.T.C crew (Diggin' in tha Creates) and also he founded Harems Children of the Corn, man I miss hearing Murda Mase, and Killa Cam spit on those singles.

Big L was killed in a drive-by shooting on Feb 15, 1999.  But of course as we see in history, the illest emcees deaths are never solved.

Big L you will be missed.  Check out his  first appearance on Yo! MTV Raps with Lord Finesse promoting his album "Return of the Funky Man", and this freestyle, over Ras Kass H20 Proof beat.

DW - This is your second tour in Norcal, What made you want to come back?
DD - "I had a blast out here! There a scene with riding all year round, good friends, and good times"

DW - Your car is slammed, does it make it easier to put your bike on your roof rack?
DD - "It does. In fact, LOW is a lifestyle!"  "I got bit by the lowered VW bug and never looked back."

DW - Blunts, Bongs, or J's
DD - "They all have their places, good to roll somethin' up with your homies, but there's always time for a tasty bong rip."

DD - "No brakes for me, but I hope everyone's doing their own thing."

DW - Whats the Norcal scene like?
DD - "A nice number of riders, laid back, few different spots to hit, good chillin' in between, I feel connected out here?

R.I.P Whitney Houston

The cause of death is still not know.  All I know right now is I wanna dance with somebody.  Rest in peace Whitney Houston.

Takin' it Back

Well in light of trying to generate more hits to the site, I began to post up other people edits.  After a few joints and bong rips last night with the crew, we decided to take it back to our original content. Sorry to all those we let down, I felt we sold out to our little followers who visit here regularly and became what we hated the most, just another mindless re-post blog.  We promise to change that starting today.  So on that note, back to our regular schedule blog post.

Flatland Fugitives

Fuck yeah, my first and favorite video is now online.  Of course I was really stoked to meet most of the Fugitives in person since moving out west.  Yes most of the Fugitives are still out here riding just as hard as they were in this classic VHS.  Much respect to these dudes.

Happy Birthday Bob Marley

If you dont know, now you know.  Today is Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley.  Happy Born Day Bob!  Three decades later, your music and words are an inspiration to me.

“Life and Jah are one in the same. Jah is the gift of existence. I am in some way eternal, I will never be duplicated. The singularity of every man and woman is Jah's gift. What we struggle to make of it is our sole gift to Jah. The process of what that struggle becomes, in time, the Truth.”
― Bob Marley

718video: Some 2011 joints

Another banger from the Skavenger crew.  Riding is top notch and the soundtrack is right on point.  Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard Bob on a street edit.

Ulrich Kittel

It's kinda old, but still worth the watch.  Ulrich is so good.

Bay$mog - Gassin'

Straight outta the bay, Gassin'.

Federal BMX - Jared Washington & Dominic Biro edit

Jared kills it of course in this Federal edit.  Watch out for Dominic last clip, its kinda funny.  Oh yeah tunes by Mr. Green.

Baco 9

Just cause this is one of my top 5 favorite videos of all time.  Watch and learn.

430 - Free Wheeling

By the looks of this edit it seem to be a road trip from the guys at 430 Decade Shop.  Hiroshi and it looks like Green - G stopped a a few spots in the sunshine state.  Digging this edit.  Filmed with a Flip style camera, and the soundtrack happens to be the same Beastie Boys track from Baco "Straight in 98"

Cult - Let'em Talk

Cult has released there full length video online about a month ago.  You can now embed this awesome full length video to your site.  This shit is fyre!
