OneLoveJam2017 ReUp

So I finally get a chance to talk about what went on almost a few weeks back now, its amazing how long it takes you to get back into the swing to thing after having such a surreal trip of the first year. Ok so the 7th annual OneLoveJam was of course on MLK weekend was extra special, first it was my big 43 day on this earth and second my homie fat joe bka halfpacker man, bka jody mf' temple made his first appearance on Southern California soil.
This year I decided to meet the homies down south so I booked a flight with Virgin which I gotta tell ya they are the most modern version of flight I'm down for this airline service. Any way it was on it's 2nd week of rain and my ray of hope was leaving Tuesday as the sky starts to fall, I mean so much that they had to switch pilots because the due was too green to fly out of the bay with the high winds and no coverage, yeah you couldn't even see the planes on the tarmac at one point. I finally made it after a very long 1 hour flight...lol the homie Ahmed came thru and we went to Venice to chill and was taxi over to anther homie place where I would be staying till the Air BNB was open on Friday. Wed morning I put the old girl together and snapped my new half link, luckily there was a shop near by but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody, what shop owner would sell you a link that wasn't the same thickness?? Any way I bought his overpriced non hollow pin half link chain and went down to LBC to meet up with young shredder Bene. The next day was rain, I mean like NorCal rain so I took the Metro up to Hollyhood to meet B Carter, Jody, and the Duke.
Friday was the big pre jam, I was stoked to be there this year, since I missed the last one. Lots of dude rode hard all day long, as the sun set, I headed down to Newport Beach to meet up with the Athens Fam, it's been a min since we all except Dane have been under the same roof. Im afraid Andrew's girl thought the stories he told were alternative facts.

Saturday was the day, OMG so many people where at the spot hella early, which is fine but man once everybody gets there its hard to find a good place to session, but hey its a jam theres no need to be a hermit. I feel like the fakie manny is the new steamroller, or maybe freecoasters are at the peak of perfection, I shall study this more. Then of course the epic fat sack give away, s/o to all the sponsors...I don't think any contest last year stateside even gives as much swag to the contestants and this is just a jam.  Once again THANK YOU sponsors, without you this would not be one of the first big event of the year. And thank you to all the supporters coming out every year!
Well I can tell you more, but heres some pictures and an edit, hope to see y'all next year same bat channel same bat time!
Peace

Winter

Ok WTF I woke up with a hyper extended shoulder and don't know what happen other than the fact I'm getting old. Well yesterday was a pretty good session, learned a new technique and got a good pedal to the shin...such a good day. Even though winter is here in NorCal.
Peace

BMX AF

Pat Fisher has got to be the nicest guy in BMX. He stopped through town on his impromptu road trip, it sounds like I may need to pay a visit to Santa Cruz, he spoked very highly of the scene so I will take his word on that. We had a very chill evening and we watched front brake wizard Eben Fischer, where is he?!? What happened to the front brake revolution back in 2012? I think the Tech as Fuck kids are still around, I'll try to find some of there edits soon, but they like brakeless, not the same.
I had to work in the morning so instead of a flat sesh we headed to the Piner Skatepark. It has to be the most slickest park ever. Straight lines and nerves of steel, any false moves you will feel like the chump who never rode park. It's still sick like no coping, just old school snake run.

Anyway this whole weekend seemed like I was showing the homies to the park or the trails, which was fine change is good and I do like BMX, plus how often in the 707 you hear a flatlander, dirt jumper, street rider, and tranny queen chilling, and talking about BMX. Rare moment I cherish out here in the boondocks. It was a dope weekend, ok enough talk, I think its cool enough to go for an after work session.

Peace

#morethanmeetstheeye

G-Force
I really need to get into more posting, summer is here and a brotha man got like 2 jobs so we shall try to keep you updated. I heard they might be a lil jammy jam up in norcal, in June, oh yeah whiplash master and resident bass player Kerry Gatt has moved to the 707. Our scene is as big as SoCal but the legends status we got up here is well, legendary.
Last weekend I was out stunt'n on the panty dropper and decided to film a couple of links, nothing big but i did rediscover mccircles, let's see where this new/lost technique will take me.
And yes this is the hardest hip hop beat rendition of The Transformers classic intro.
Peace

pistolero Jam LBC

I know I always say it, It's been a while...yada yada yada. Anyway I saw a few months back there was going to be a jam in LA. It is very rare so I made plans to head down. Pistolero Jam happens to be at a great time of the season. The day is still kinda long, but short if you know what I mean, in just a few weeks we will be in darkness around 4ish.
I started my journey on Thursday, I took the back roads to check out the vineyards in hopes of taking a few pics with, yes I know, I'm a hipster my SLR film camera. By the time I chilled out and snapped a few shots, OSG hit me up seeing if I had left the bay. So I swooped down to pick up his trifling ass.
Once there we loaded up, and he took me to his man cave so we could get our minds right for the journey. He has a few gems, maybe I can work a barter with him.
yeah we went down to check it out

Hmm maybe about a few hours into the ride, we are approching Fresno, I do like that Planet Asia is native there but it is Central Valley, anyway OSG gets a ring from his homie Mutt. Mutt is saying I-5 South is closed because of the mudslide, we checked the world wide web and he was right??!? Fuck so we headed down some detour down a road in the middle of know where to hit 101 South, which was packed. Made it to a rest stop outside of Santa Barbra and took a nap before heading in to LA. We arrive at B. Carter to meet Andrew W for a tour into DTLA. It was very grey for LA, I guess El'nino is impacting their climate more. Later that day we had lunch and headed down to Burbank to Bobby's new spot. Even though it was only 7 miles away, part of the main highway was shut down because of a jumper. So it took an hour and half to reach the spot. I watch OSG cringe at the site of cars and crazy LA drivers.

After the sesh we made it down to the event organizer home, so we could be closer to the mesh and get a good parking spot. The next day after coffee and some food we headed down to Newport Beach. We arrived to see a car show on the courts, even a sign that said "no bikes". Lalo made a quick adjustment to the FB event wall and change the location to the LBC Marina.

never trust a skinny pastry cook
Like I said earlier, it's rare SoCal has a jam lately, Lalo and Richard delivered. The "partluck" was something I never heard of, all I know is riders who had broken parts or indeed got hooked up! The riding & weather was unreal! Flatland trickery from all different styles, so many different style for miles. Thong was the man BBQ, while various riders donated drinks and snacks. At the end of the day we took a group shot, and many continue to ride until the sun was gone.

It really was an awesome time despite the crazy detour, I can't wait for next year Pistolero Jam. Hope to see you there. Thanks again Lalo for giving us a place to lay our heads, and thanks to all the riders who let me catch them in the act on film.

Too Small Bikes 3 Premier -March8th- NorCal

Yep you see it, we are apart of a world wide premier.  I contacted Jussi and Julius to see if we can hold our own premier.  Since it's on a Friday, anyone who comes out should stay and ride on Saturday.  If no one in the Bay can make it on Friday, then come out on Saturday to ride, and we will show it again.
We will be showing the movie premier at Mike's crib up here in Santa Rosa.  If you have any questions, hit me up on FB or call me.
Be warned though, Vegas Mike is firing up the BBQ, and his BBQ technique is unstoppable!
See you March 8th!

Czarface

I can't even tell you how long I've been waiting for this.  This new super group isn't new to the game.  Inspectah Deck, Esoteric and 7L joins together to form Czarface.  While most will scratch their heads at the 90's references, some will appreciate flow like this.  Go out and cop this shit.  Here's the first single off the album "Air'em Out"
